Long ago, amongst ancient times, there arose a monster, with power above the rest of the world. Created from the burdens and pains of the entire world in its hysteria and chaos, the beast rose high above the earth, his power greater than tenfold that of Hell. And with his minions beside him, created in the same manner as he, he aimed to not only reign over this world, but also to demolish it. Long in hiding, he remained. And then time called, when this world, this earth, thrived so greatly.
In his appearance, the weak crumbled, and the strong were crippled. A war raged against him, a tense war in which the allies had their own enmities, bringing little hope to the world. For so long, the world fought. Days drifted into weeks, weeks drifted into months. But, in the end, the beast greater than all three rulers of the afterlife fell. In his death, his minions followed - and victory was secured among the living. Perhaps celebrations would have arrived. But the price to pay was great; the war itself could be compared to the Trojan War, and the consequences just as great.
In so little time, the world went from thriving to next to extinction.
Though the survivors were plenty, the earth itself was dying. So, in hopes of fully preparing, the leaders once again had to put their minds together, generals in tow. But the problem was, some races lost their own leaders and generals - and the ruler of Hell met his end within the war. They were shaken.
The recovery still continues today, only a few years or so since the war and disappearances and tragedies of the Arch Hellion's wrath.
Maximum War, as the war is now called, is in the past. But now, in version two of World of Wonders, the recoveries are slow but sure. The problem is, the war hasn't done much for the races' tension. One question lingers. Will the Maximum War, have a second segment?
